What Do Voters Actually Get?

Jamie argues that Democrats need more than anti-Trump messaging. They need to prove how voters’ lives will actually improve.

In this Take It Personal visual essay, Jamie makes a blunt argument about Democratic messaging: “Trump is bad” is not a strategy.

His point is not that Republicans should not be held accountable. They should. But Democrats also have to answer the question voters are actually asking: what do we get back?

What do our tax dollars become? Better roads? Clean water? Healthcare? Schools? Jobs? A government that actually works for the people paying into it?

Jamie’s challenge is simple: hold the GOP accountable, but hold yourselves accountable too.
